I started with sloth and snake, and I couldn't stop thinking about those two for half a minute. Then more started to come to me. I eventually ended up with six. That's pretty much the way that my mind usually works when I need to recall things. I'm slow getting started, but I can keep going for a long time.

Yes, scored "Very Low" on everything. 48 was my standard score in Verbal Memory, 21 was my standard score in Executive Functioning. (Where 109+ is above average, 90-109 is average, 80-89 is below average, and less than 70 is "very low".) That's... disturbing.

I also scored "very low" on both things. 1% percentile on both. yes, I took this same test a long time ago and got the same score. At least it is consistent. I also know my memory is horrible. I even fail the mental status exam in the part they tell you 3 words and remember it after a couple of minutes. The weirdest thing is that I have incredible memory for current events and things that took place years ago. 2 seconds ago no way.

That was really interesting. My verbal memory standard score was 92 (30 percentile) which is average. Oddly enough, my immediate results were really low, but my delayed results were quite a bit better. My executive functioning standard score was 76 (5 percentile).

I guess that the executive functioning is about what I expected, but my verbal memory is alright, but it takes a bit of time for things to sink in.

I thought of two as my brain kept thinking about sequins as I was pondering my sequin art before starting the test lol. Actually I was about to have some breakfast then go and do some lol. In my defence, sequins do start with the letter S.

Mental Note to self: Please stop using 'lol' all the time. It is a bad habit I picked up from reading on forum boards and now tend to over use it! I seem to dump it on the end of every other sentence these days lol.

Four animals--sunfish, salamander, snake...I forgot what the fourth one was.

I could only think of three animals that start with "S" in a minute: salamander, scorpion, and snake.

Thanks for posting that! "Verbal memory" and "executive functioning" were two psychometric properties I was interested in learning about myself, as they're closely related to schizophrenia. I'm still looking for a test of semantic recall, but I suppose this will do for now for a free-internet test.

My verbal memory immediate was the 88th percentile, the verbal memory delayed was the 93rd percentile (The general "verbal memory" was the 93rd percentile), while executive functioning was at the 47th percentile. My verbal and performance IQ are both in the 130-145 range, so I wonder if any of those scores are anomalously low for my IQ level?

My IQ is in a similar range and I got 1% verbal memory... I am not even sure what to think about that.

I tend to max out verbal IQ, or come very close.

In the other thread, it seems there's a trend that older users tend to get noticeably lower verbal memory scores (And verbal memory itself doesn't seem to be particularly affected by autism), so I'm thinking they probably don't adjust the verbal score by age. So, it's probably not indicative of anything in particular other than normal aging (Which is kind of a let down. I was hoping they'd compare me directly to my similar-age peers.).
