A comment about 'imaginative play':

There are a few things that people misunderstand about 'symptoms'. One of them is imaginative play. You can see posts all over this forum where people think this means they're supposed to lack imagination. This is not true. This means you lack imagination in playing with others.

Did you play tea party or house with other kids when you were little? Probably not. Did you play with legos or blocks and make something from your imagination? See the difference? Nobody is saying you lack imagination but it's pretty obvious many people here probably weren't pretending they they were at a tea party with other kids.

I scored 123, which is moderate PDD.

I did this last year and got 125.

Just redid it to see how different a score I'd get and got 136.

There are very few that I'm not either mild or moderate for - just from last year to this year more of them went from "mild" up to "moderate".

I got 25 (no PDD), even though I have a diagnosis of autism.

I got 126 (Moderate PDD). I rated myself mainly as I stand right now.

I was really disappointed with the Abnormal Symbolic or Imaginary Play. Especially since they assumed that abnormal meant lack of imagination. I have an excess of imagination and abnormal imaginary play considering that I still play like a six-year-old even though I am 19. My imagination as a child was also significantly more detailed than my peers and I would spend hours creating entire worlds when my play dates just wanted to play princess. Did anyone else have issues with this section?

58 - Mild PDD

130 moderate PDD (currently). Before I began OT again last year, it was 139.

For right now, I got a 202 (Severe PDD). If it were when I was a child, it would have been higher but I am not sure how to rate.

I got a 81- mild asd.
I had to use the guide thing you can get to by clicking on the category hyperlink thingiemabobber (I know that probably did not tell you were to find it and I am sorry )

I got a score of 95 (mild), based on how I am now. I can't remember everything from childhood.

I found it interesting to see the difference between the categories. In the "social interaction" category, I marked only mild & moderate. I had no speech problems, so that category is mostly normal, with a few mild. In the "imaginary play" section, I marked mostly mild with a few normal, and that was the only section where I marked resolved.

It was also helpful to have the guide for answering the questions. In the speech category, I had to mark myself moderate for initiating conversation. As I thought about it and went through my days, I realized I *don't* initiate - almost ever! I don't even say hello to greet people. It's like I forget that I'm supposed to do that. I respond when other people greet me.

89 - Mild ASD

I wish it gave subscale scores. I was scoring much higher in the abnormal play section than the other two.

I got 171 - Severe PDD. Probably because I click Moderate a-lot than Mild, because there a page related to this by the same people, same website, telling details of what it means for each question with either Mild, Moderate, or Severe, and I hardly click on Severe, like I said it mainly Moderate and 9 of the Answers is Mild. But whatever the case that my Answer/Score.

I got a score of 33, meaning theoretically no problems, but I do have a couple of key indicators of ASD, including special interests.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE DELAY: Mild to Moderate
ABNORMAL SYMBOLIC OR IMAGINARY PLAY: Moderate to Severe
BEHAVIORAL DIFFICULTIES: Mild

DSM IV DIAGNOSIS: Infantile Autism
LEVEL OF DYSFUNCTION: Severe ASD
TOTAL SCORE: 163

I believe the Behavioral Difficulties section could have been expanded, including adding meltdowns and shutdowns. I believe the Level of Dysfunction scale should be adjusted; I believe my score represents a Moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder. I agree that my autistic features and level of dysfunction represent Infantile Autism, not Asperger's.
