Tattoos: Aspies Love 'Em or Leave 'Em?

I find most people who get tattoos never fully understand how permanent they really are, especially since they are usually young people and think everything adults don't want them doing is "cool". How do you know you will still love that tattoo when you're in your 50's and your skin starts to sag and wrinkle? Also how sanitary some tattoo places are is questionable. And I once watched a bunch of videos of failed tattoos that was both hilarious and disturbing. There are so many "artists" who can't draw, they REALLY can't spell, and I doubt most of the tattooed people can afford laser surgery!
So... if I ever get a tattoo it will only be the kind you can wash off.

This is kind of an interesting coincidence because last night I dreamed I was watching Kermit from the Muppet Show where he once sang an old song about "Lydia the Tattoo Lady", and Lydia was a pig in a skimpy bikini with tattoos all over her body. She was pretty homely, but Kermit seemed to like her and was singing, "She has eyes that folks adore so, and a torso even more so..." I don't mind a few small tattoos on a person but when someone looks like something out of those old circus sideshows it's hard to look past them, or when they have a swear word on their knuckles and swastikas or nude women or Yosemite Sam giving me the finger!

I love tats. I have three.

Personally I like the idea, but I can't see myself with one. The main thing being the old adage "You'll regret it later on in life".
