i agree with much of this and have been considering making a post about it, especially about im-posters, but i was afraid i would just get flamed (and i know it would be by the "im-posters".....btw, i like that term, very fitting Smile

Comments like this make me (Whatever I am supposed to be Aspie whatever) Nervous

Thank you Pandd, Only the last way you wrote made sense to me

Finally you can add quote tags manually. At the start of text you want in the quote box type [ then the word quote, then type ]. Do the same at the end of the comments you want in the quote box except type / after the first [ and before the word quote.

Gonna keep trying here

bigblock, there is no restriction about who may post at WP, so please do not feel nervous.

If you do the quotes manually bigblock, and want to add the user name, in the first quote tag, after the word quote (no space) type ="username" before typing the ].

So [quote="pandd"] would add my user name to the quote box.

i have been getting nervous here myself, and it's b/c i've run into more than one person now that i found to be disturbingly predatory, as well as noticing some other behavior and tendencies that make me very nervous (like misogyny and responding to disagreement with exaggerated aggression) and that just strikes me as not being very aspie-ish.....i think a lot of people see "lack of empathy" and misunderstand b/c that criterion for AS is arguable in the very least, and so many other pathologies can involve issues with empathy.....unfortunately, b/c many of these other pathologies (like psychopathology) have negative connotations, people are more inclined to apply a more innocuous-sounding label to themselves like AS.

i just want to feel safe here. those people don't make me feel safe.

I'm amazed at how civil this thread is compared to the uproar my old thread along similar lines generated. I saw that something was a little slanted and I asked a simple question and got blasted for awhile.

i've seen that happen to a lot of people and i think it's unfair.....perhaps part of the problem is that threads like this can hit a nerve for a lot of people. perhaps those ones that get so upset that they have to start jumping down everyone's throat and personally insulting the ones who ask the questions need to ask themselves why the question would upset them so much in the first place....?

The reason is dead simple - you have been around for far less time than the OP.

My home team is the Calgary Flames. (Sure miss my home town)

The Flames were tenacious when I grew up out there in the 80s.

I can be an impostor on a normal web site too. (not gonna do it)

Think i'm flaming here possibly, sorry folks imposting all day long here.

Don't want to do wrong here.

Not sure here is where to try to fit myself.

Hope I'm not ruining moods here though.

Just felt like making a few solid points. (I thought were solid, maybe they were imposting flame what knots)

From what i Know, Flamers means something different I think. Never mind,

I think Fire heads do as they do, but every flame flickers out eventually (especialy The Calgary flames)

any ways still gonna keep trying here unless other WISE directed.

I've been here since 06 but had a different name but don't understand what that has to do with it.

That doesn't sound good.

I too get worried about lots.

. Life is full of political correctness and I feel always that more lies beneath. I don't trust softly spoken people to much. They are the most unpredictable etc. People have always appeared to be one group slinging another group. Your doing it when you worry about others in any depraved way. The worlds sick. We aren't worried about that on this particular forum. I don't need to bring it up. No matter I personally don't like formalities in some areas of my expression. ( FORUM ... FORMALITY hmm...) Unfortunately I am sure it is offensive too, because I have been told i can be rude. Still I feel old fashioned about more than is politically correct these days. I believe a woman is a nurturer and a man is a bread winner etc. I have found this is biologically accurate yet I am not allowed to say it in public. Just a week ago I thought I was in complete control over my opinions, Now I am wondering how i could possibly group people so easily. I'm not really a Red Neck just seen enough bad to be cynical and protective. Its just How i kinda feel comfortable communicating, see that there, I started looking in None the less I live a wonder full life except This state of what ever (REALLY, I DO FIT THE STANDARD DESCRIPTION of AS to a T) pervading my comfort and wholeness. I hope to undue this so I can relax some. I haven't got to fixing it yet just 'Do I Got it OR NOT'.

(Not academic at all). I act Much Like the People I know (Just allot more "ASPIE"). Only they are not questioning themselves or their whole reality (as far as I can tell).

Any ways I haven't been all over this site but from what I have seen it is mostly a passive introspective site, contact is (Rewarded if Correct and ignored if incorrect)

I Have downloaded ASPERGERS Encyclopedia BOOK what not so I'll find more answers there. Then off to the psych For more, ill try one out, All to stop being an ass, or grab an excuse.
Not A FORUM FORMULA KINDA GUY I GUESS i'm simply too blindly opinionated or what ever. Oh well

Thats it

THanx allot everybody

HavE Fun!!
bye

It seems to me that Garyww always has an opinion that I can align with.

But He is far more smoothly putting it (Not offensive or narrow at all). I have so much to say off in all directions, but in the end I'm more interested in Garywws ease of operation. And His Reactions (To other posts).

Trying to learn to get along with people I should but don't trust (DON'T KNOW YOU, SO I DONT KNOW YOUR INTENTIONS) and I don't trust most people I know any ways (Besides my family). how can I trust other people if all this time I thought I was operating acceptably, my decisions are calculated for GOOD, regardless of others opinions. but others opinions have to be listened to as well. This is what I must learn.

Where else can I challenge myself to grow this way.

WANT TO KEEP LEARNING HERE. Its helping allot I think.

And not leave because it isn't easy to do this.

Idealistic Leftists scare me as much as Idealist Rights, and I am a bit of both I think so where is safe.
(If its clear and apparent some one is operating Way Left or Right is it still stereotyping when you say it?)

Almost got scarred off,

But felt a gust of CHINOOK warming the frost.

(Checked my E mail and curiosity brought me back)
(ALSO HOW CAN I DELETE MY PROFILE?) for later IF Cause I am still not sure about this. It seems my blind'ish soul searching is some what locked in time here at WP. Embarassing.

If you can't afford it, that should be explanation enough. I think what rubs people the wrong way are individuals who do have resources at their disposal but refuse to confirm their status one way or the other. It's a bit like someone going around saying they have cancer when they don't, just so they can receive sympathy. Public opinion would come down like a ton of bricks but for some reason it's OK for people to go around on the interwebz and say "I haz Azpurgers".

Again, I understand you situation and feel for you, adults left undiagnosed really got the shaft.

*edit* It appears the post I was responding to disappeared >.>

Pointy matters topic

My point is that you are generalizing.

And you are providing an opinion after floating a straw man out there. Brilliant rejoinder. I concede to your superior illogic.
