At the peak of my illness I wanted only black women because I associated white women with all manner of despicable things and I really did not like the so-called civilized, bourgeois, hypocritical, cruel and greedy white culture - my only hope was that one day the white race would not be so dominant in the world, with all of its avarice and slaughter of innocent blood; one day, even, the whole world would look like the tropics, with good weather all year, everyone kicking back on beautiful white beaches, swimming in clear, unpolluted oceans - being human, and not being 'white', with all of the evil associated with white people.

Yes, it was fair to say that I wasn't all that impressed with what white people have done to the world over the last few centuries.

As you're speaking in past tense, I trust you now realise the many faults in that line of reasoning. One can group all "white" people together about as accurately as one can group all "black" (or whatever) people together - with zero accuracy, in short - one cannot accurately define race given the fluidity of human genetics, and the joyous atrocities of human history across not just the last few hundred years but the last few thousand have been gleefully participated in and suffered by people of every shade of yellowy-brown we come in. :? Fah. Ashamed of our species, as someone said above.

I wonder what the OP would think, if she logged in, and saw this thread revamped, right now?

hmm do I hate my race?
no I don't hate my race or anyone else's.

There are just traits about people that I hate.

I never understood the 'white' thing either. White people are pink, black people are brown, brown people are caramel coloured, people with 'olive' skin are most certainly not green, and yellow people are more ivory or latte toned. Makes no sense. 8O
Also, why not just hate humanity in general rather then your own ethnicity? It's not your skin's fault people from your race murdered people of another race. And generally speaking, most people here were born after whatever genocides their race may have committed, and if you were alive you might not have even been there. Don't blame yourself or hate your race because of it, there was nothing anyone could have done.

There is really no such thing as race. All humanoids are now of the same species, and we almost certainly killed off all of the other humanoids quite intentionally. Even if we were "racially" different in some significant way, what we really hate are other cultures, and that is a joke because cultural values have this way of being whatever is best for a particular group of people at a particular time, which is controlled by those who stand to gain the most.

When there was land to be grabbed, Europeans killed off the Native Americans, just like all Homo Sapiens killed off all of the other humanoids long ago to take their resources. When the Inuits expanded south into the Viking territory in Greenland, guess who disappeared? The Vikings.

Where do you draw the line? Do you hate the lion for killing the antelope? Do you hate a cow for eating a flower? Do you blame a tree for growing taller than another tree and hogging all the sunlight, causing the other tree to die? Do you hate evolution? Reality? God? The universe?

Once you realize all of this, the hate you feel for your own race is exactly the same as any other hate. It is no better or more noble for being directed at yourself.

I find detestable behavior in ALL races and ALL classes; henceforth, it is far less easy for me to be either a nationalist OR an integrationist as far as being Black in America goes.

I do despise everyone equally initially. You gotta do a lot for me to like you but once I do, I'll FIND reasons not to hate you. But give me one and that's all I need. That goes for ANY race.

Though, for me, the issue of intentionally stereotypical behavior bothers me more than any race who's doing the behavior because any stereotypical acts could be construed as us not caring to be better for our OWN sakes. Never mind that we imitate one another; it sickens me that ANY race would look at the base of their entry level existence and think "This is the best I can do so do it I must till I die," without even ONE attempt to independently better themselves FOR themselves.

The human race sucks. Let's ALL evolve, no matter what the person doing the evolving looks like.

I have to say that for the most part I don't even register race. It sounds bad in a sense, but I rarely even notice what race another person I'm with is. That said, I don't understand judgement based on race as it makes little to no sense to attempt to determine something about another person on the basis of where their ansestors were from or, hell, where they are from. I can understand cultural differences and that some people have issues with specific cultural practices as well as the general misconceptions between one race (as in country not so much as in caucasian versus african americal) to the next.

Race has never meant much to me, though I feel as though sometimes I completely discount that others find it incredibly important and self-defining. Then again, I don't seem to process a lot of 'social higherarchy' based ideas.

I think racism in any shape or form is merely Insecurity! There are a lot of whiteys that I can't stand and I'm white. There are also many blacks and hispanics and various other races sometimes I think what the hell? But When you look at the line... It's all Insecurity and EVERYONE on this planet has it whether they show it or not. It's not about color. Anger and Hate are like trends. In area's with a lot of prejudice, you Have to adapt to it, because if you don't, you will be a cast out, a loner and in violent area's that doesn't bode well sometimes.

I married a hispanic woman. Her brother in law Hated my GUTS! Only because of my skin. It saddened me. I wanted to be friends with him. But like I said... I must forgive him even though I'd like to see him get hit by a bus. LOL! That is life and insecurites play a vital role in the way we as humans think.

Don't hate your race or any other. Find your inner self and what makes you happy. Color, Race, any form of characteristics DO NOT MATTER unless you yourself can make yourself happy. Sometimes we have to be outcast and go against the trends and face horrid criticism, but it is often the outcast whom set examples to others that life doesn't have to be that way. : )

As a genetically mixed individual, I don't identify as any race, so this question is meaningless for me.

No.....but I can't say i'm overly-fond of my own gender (male) though.

The fact that males tend to vote republican more so than females is bad enough....lol.
