I can feel an obsession coming on (as opposed to just being briefly interested in something for the length of time it takes to read or do it). I feel an almost manic need to indulge in it, as though I simply can't get enough.

I have had an obsession last as little as 12 hours, or for years.

LOL, I have exactly the same thing too! I actually also spent months reading about mental disorders, then some history, some weapon technology... music. etc., it keeps changing, but sometimes I just re-read some of the articles that I found most interesting.

Yup. I get new obsessions every now and then.
