Music is the only way to trigger empathy in me. Maybe that's why I love classical music: it can represent the whole array of emotions. I also have alexithymia, so it is often the only way for me to reliably experience an emotion and identify it in real time.

Wow... You are all close to what I'm trying to say. But you (WoodenNickel) are really close.
I don't know what alexithymia is, I'm going to read up on that one. Can you maybe explain a bit?

Alexithymia is the difficulty or inability to recognize one's one emotions. It's covered in many threads.
