I'm a vegan... no I'm not "saving the animals" yes I know "plants were living things too." I'm allergic to animal protein.

I find them very unpleasant. It's not really possible for me to eat them without choking, and the flavour is such that I'd personally find it much more pleasant to smash my hand with a hammer a few times.

I love vegetables. Most processed and other foods are much harder for me to eat. The only drawback to vegetables is that, with my visual acuity, hardly a week goes by where I won't notice some bug nestling within them.

I like eating vegetables, I prefer them to eating meat in fact, with the exception of bacon and sausages, I love these even more. Although I actually prefer fruit to vegetables, I would say, in general I am a healthy eater. But then I like to do things to vegetables to make them more interesting, such as stir frying them with spices or making vegetable and fishcakes out of them, because eating plain veggies can sometimes be a little boring.

I used to hate them....now I love them. But I think even NTs have "taste changes" in their life where their taste in food just changes for no real reason that they are aware of.

Can't stand mushy vegetables...especially canned ones.

Love a lot of raw veggies, though. Especially carrots.

I'm a vegan too. Not related to my choice to be vegan... but I hate chewing things. So I don't like stringy vegetables, struggle with salad, etc. I like soft foods, because I don't have to chew. I like things like lentil based shepherd's pie. Some veggies I just can't eat though, because I have memories of them getting stuck in my teeth... as you can imagine, I eat a lot of soups.

My son on the other hand, hates foods that he considers "slimy", and this includes some of my favourites. For example, he can't bear the texture of bananas, though he likes the taste. We work round it though...

Also, I eat very fast, to get it over with. My son eats very very slowly indeed. He'll take over an hour to eat a child's sized portion, and that's him hurrying.

Never mind, we both get our food down us.

I don't like most vegetables, but I'll eat carrots, peas and tomatoes.

I find this statement dubious. You are MADE of animal protein!

Animal protien is digested differently than vegetable protien. Because vegetable protien is seperated into different packets, it doesn't have to be broken down by the kidneys, and this makes it easier for some people to digest than animal protien. Technically, nobody is allergic to the actual protien, but some people's bodies have difficulty with the process of digesting so called "complete" protiens. Unlike cats, for example, we're not obligate carnivores, and we use less energy digesting vegetable, rather than animal protiens.

So says the China Study anyway.

I can't eat them, ever. When I eat them, I get the same feeling that I get when I touch velvet (which is the equivilent of an NT driving wooden splints under their fingernails). I was eating fried rice, and I tasted a tiny bit of onion and threw up  Onion is unbelievably disgusting, the rest are merely unpleasant to eat, like chewing gum of the sidewalk

I hate onions too but I like to be healthy so I do eat other vegetables. I usually mix in a nice satay sauce with them.

Ok. Clarification needed on the definition of allergic. My digestive track lacks the enzimes to digest animal protien and the rest of my body lack the antibodies to cope with undigested protien that is then absorbed into my system.

I like most veggies. I am allergic to cabbage and have always hated brussel sprouts. I tend to prefer veggies cooked and sometimes even mushy. I hate when restaurant or take-out veggies look nicely cooked but theyre still mostly raw and crunchy.
