Found my teens really difficult. I would still have it from birth but being a bit less AS during my teens would have made life easier.

I hate that word ''contract''. It seems to mean everything, when I hear people talking (that's off-topic, just thought I'd share that, it's nothing against anyone here ).

I would make the AS appear at around 70. That way I could live a normal, social life then suffer the AS later, as though it's some sort of unfortunate old-age disability like Alzheimer's, except not a killer and not as cruel and disabling.
