I'm hugely verbal. I love to talk. I also love to write. I was hyperlexic as a child. I don't talk to strangers though and I don't do small talk.

Don't take life so seriously. It isn't permanent!

I am far less verbal than the average person and say very few words a day, most of which are idiosyncratic. My emotional expression is also crude. I mainly communicate using noises and gestures, except in formal situations where I remain very quiet or use writing. The only occasions I become verbal are when monologuing on a subject. For example, I've participated in a couple of studies on AS where they interviewed me on how my diagnosis came about; my language became very sophisticated because I was already very familiar with the answers and could visualise the series of events and dates in order.

Yes, I do mimic things. I still adopt the body language and noises of a parrot I used to know. He would have different growls for impatience and suspicion.

I am never very verbal outside of immediate family in house. Never been very verbal with my cousins or anything either. I can't pick up the phone or hang out with friends cuz I have never made any friends. I have zero people that consider hanging out with me. At home I am fine and normal talking it seems. Even then though there are some things I hold back from saying. I am never very comfortable around people.

Don't most people meow back at cats?
I meow at Cara all the time.. It's just a response, I think. What else am I supposed to do? Well, pet her if she wants to be pet. But she might nip at me. Unless I'm on the toilet. For some reason, she wants attention whenever somebody is on the toilet.

Same here, when I still lived with my mom and the cats it went like this: Cat meows, I meow, mom stares at us and asks who just meowed. I need to think for a while, then decide it probably was first the cat and then in response me.

I'm pretty verbal unless I'm feeling bad, or just am not in the mood to do an effort to make my thoughts fit so that the other person can understand them.

I don't talk very much, but am usually articulate. The exception is if I'm very stressed, when I may lose the ability to speak (coherently).

I'm verbal. I give way too much detail and can't summarize. Somehow summarizing means leaving out detail and that feels like I'm lying.

I am fairly verbal..sometimes too much, sometimes not as much.I can become non-verbal and not be able to speak if I am really frightened such as if a giant tarantula were to get on me somehow while I was laying in bed...I wouldnt be able to yell a name...Id start stammering and stuttering like the guy in this clip
