Pretty much echoing what others are saying here: all the time. I have never watched American Idol, either, and I really have no desire to do so. I have been accused of "living in a cave" throughout many points in my life. It doesn't bother me at all, but it's a really, really nice cave. I don't ever want to move. :)

The pace of commercial radio is so fast, loud, and annoying that it really bugs me. That and I generally find the music selection limited. I get my radio / news fix from either NPR and the Internet.

What all of you have said so far applies to me as well. Whenever I had been into a particular music or fashion style it was because I felt in tune with it not because it was popular. I see certain music types and styles as being "quintessential", hence devoid of useless novelty. I really can't help it if the NT world is hooked on novelty just because they have nothing significant in their lives to take its place, not do I have any compassion for them needing all this to feel like they're fitting in. It is utterly DUMB. And FORGET people who think Oprah is God - I mean they are USELESS!!
