Hi Glider18 - I've pretty much gone through the same loop; was way too obsessive with checking WP posts, it got really stressful so I decided to log off it and never come back, and now I'm back again although intermittently like you are.

I think a balance is good.

I want to thank you all for your support here at the WP, it is truly appreciated. I am making an effort now to better manage my time on the WP. Some things that gave me stress were:

*Trying to keep my post average at 5.50-5.70 per day.
*Trying to give each post I make a subject title.
*Checking posts for grammar, usage, and mechanics.
*After writing a post, viewing the post on the page to make sure I didn't double post.
*Before logging off, viewing my statistics---number of posts and average (or else I had to log back on to view them).
*Trying to view comments made on all the posts I made---and trying to comment back.
*Trying to post in a way that didn't sound negative (although I had posted problems in my life in The Haven).
*Etc.

I am just going to try to relax with WP now and appreciate the site for what it can offer me. Since my youngest son has just recently been diagnosed with autism and is in the process of getting an IEP for school, I have a lot to learn as a parent. With his multiple meltdowns, sensory issues (like me), etc., I will be looking forward to support. My wife and I have just joined an autism support group to help with his needs. I feel a special bond with him since we share this special difference known as autism---in many ways we understand each other.

Again, I am truly touched by your kind comments. I truly had no intention of coming back---it was very tough to hit that log in button. But, after having done it---I do not regret it. I feel I do belong here. This is my only social life outside of my family.
