People often refer to their animals as Their animal. Like "That's my kitty." But that implies ownership, which is true, but a lot of aspies feel like they don't really own their cat. It just lives with them. I prefer to refer to my cat by saying I'm his human. That implies ownership too, but personally i feel like the cats are the most important living creatures in the house and i'm there to pamper them.

You have forever locked me into the prison book that is Kittenwar. I'm gonna be there for-fucking-ever.

I know what you mean, Nomaken. Although, I usually refer to my pets by their name and only that. I feel it gives them an individual identity. After all, as a child I didn't like the name "my girl", as my mother so many times referred me as. So why treat my animals (friends) any differently? :)

It's odd how most animals' personality can identify with your own. Honey (older feline) is a complete recluse and just naturally prefers to be alone. While Lion, AKA 'Spitfire', is a complete spazz :).
