In retrospect, remembering when I studied in physics and maths departments, there is only one student I would suspect to be on the spectrum. He was into Star Wars and would bring his paraphanalia to class (and explain the technical specifications of the ships).

 That is f*****g Awesome

I wish I was there. Discussing the specs of how much energy a turbolaser bolt has. Wonder if he did that sort of s**t XD

Oh, also. Hmm. My Chemistry Professor seems aspie-ish. Collects Lionel Trains (! !! !), tends to speak in a monotone voice, Ph.D in chem, apparently knows several comp nerds, etc. Also he probably knows im aspie. My paper-ish thing I submitted for help gsve it away-as well as how I act probably.

EDIT: hmm. I don't know. The large northern west coast cities (San Francisco Bay area, Silicon Valley & Pacific Northwest cities) probably have more Aspies.....due to people moving there for those tech businesses. Also see the Research Triangle in North Carolina & those other research places (Austin IIRC??) Larger cities probably have more aspies (moving to) due to the advantages of them (less social bs, there is less of a dominant culture in cities and the anonymousness makes things easier). That and sheer numbers

Yeah, those are likely, suitable relocation locations I'd imagine.

I have said this before but as far as place of origin is concerned, I still think a certain area of Scotland might be an AS hotbed. That is Stirling/Falkirk/Clackmannanshire. I had posted perhaps a year ago that almost every Scottish Aspie I've met, whose place of origin isn't here in the Edinburgh area, originated from that area.

As I've met more new Aspie people... that state of affairs has continued.

Shebakoby: whereabouts are you located? Are any of the people you've met online from the south, midwest etc. Aspies, or are they simply people from the general population?

Ah, but then there's all those odd, maladjusted hermit types, like myself, out in the rural backlands... a dandy place for anti-social Aspies. My area is crawling with oddballs... who don't have much to do with others, so it's hard to tell, but as I said to another outlander... there's a reason we all moved away from the city and don't socialize... it's because we don't get on with others! LOL
