Autism - What do you feel would help make a real difference?

Hmm.. I'd take over Autism Speaks and change their commercials from "those learn the signs" ones to ones that have different types of autistic people in them showing how they're not ret*ds or whatever, in order to dispel all the stereotypes. D:

Also, I'd set up a system that would help autistic people get employed a lot easier.

And an intensive screening and monitoring system for caregivers.

Aaaaand I'd open a stim toy shop chain, because that would be neato. I'd take suggestions from the ASD population for new products.

Educate those that don't know about autism, because ignorance is a very dangerous thing.
