Asperger's Parents and Neurotypical Children
I consider the above to be VERY useful reading for me, because I want to be a parent someday, or at least work with children. I certainly don't want to end up having children unnecessarily pick up undesirable Asperger's traits because I don't know any better! Kind of makes me think of finding someone a little more NT than myself who I can love as the ideal...
I feel like I'm more likely to fall in love with someone MORE affected by Asperger's than myself, but this could be iffy as a parent since it means I'm bearing all the weight regarding teaching proper social skills that I barely have enough of myself... although this will probably improve by the time I can actually become a parent, which is likely to be around 2020.
It's definitely a good thing I never even slept with anyone thus far, let alone gotten anyone pregnant, thereby remaining 100% safe from unwanted parenthood.
