I usually just flatten it, I don't tend to do more than that, but I do make sure that it is flat down at the bottom of the bag or to its side for max use of space.

I pull apart the seams on boxes to make them flat, and I crush cans.. but I don't buy milk in cartons, (we use a ton so we get the big jugs..) and I don't flatten the plastic containers because I don't know if damaging them too much will prevent them from being recycled. XD;; Probably not, but some plastic breaks up, so I just leave it all alone out of laziness. I do rinse it and screw the cap on though.

PS I SECOND SINSBOLDLY.
But I used to have a room mate who actually PREFERED it the other way. XD;; I used to think people just put the roll on wrong out of laziness. How is under better? I still don't know, but oh well, if it's on purpose it's not as annoying.

I often think that people have the toilet paper underneath, on the inside, just to piss other people off.

I mean really, isn't it easier when it's hanging free, instead of up against the wall. (that's rhetorical for anyone reading this with AS) :jester:

No I don't. My dustbin is about 4 times bigger than it needs to be for the amount of trash I dispose of, so there's no need for me to conserve bin space. No doubt the refuse department has a huge compacting machine in which they compress all the voluminous stuff. I pay my council tax, for which I get very few services, so as far as I'm concerned it's their job. I might consider compressing my own garbage, but it looks like it could be a messy business, so I'll wait till there's an obvious need to do that, before I bother. When I was young, cartons weren't common, so I never got any disposal methods drilled into me.

Actually I use soya milk, which tends to settle and stick to the inside of the carton, so when I'm feeling frugal I add a bit of water to the "empty" carton, and get enough reconstituted soya milk for another cup of tea. 8) But as I gain less than 2p worth of soya milk, I reckon that it's only cost effective if I get the job done within 14 seconds, assuming the minimum wage rate applies.

This was absolutely glorious; have you ever tried writing comedy?

LMAO :jester:

Strangely enough, the comedic content was accidental......my brain just digressed from the topic, next thing I'd become all analytical about the soya milk. I vaguely noticed that it might end up quite amusing, but my main thought was that it might not be of much interest, being a bit off topic and studious.

I've done similar things before, and received howls of appreciative laughter (to my surprise). Sadly it doesn't come to order, and I barely notice it when it does, unless somebody laughs. Meanwhile my best deliberate quips are ignored.

I know exactly what you mean, I have had people howl with laughter when I said something that seemed to make sense to me. Upon inquiry I find they thought my delivery was what made my words so funny, as something in my demeanor was at odds with my words and the juxtaposition was what made it howl worthy. go figure
