I used to draw shapes in the air, thats how i used to learn how to draw, i still kinda do that.
I used to spin but it seems weird for me to do it now.
swing on the swings - i love it to bits.
I figet with everything....

The funny thing is, nobody notices what i do now.... i normally say things to cover it up

I used to do chants about the penis, over and over again, replacing the word penis, with the word, tail. Things about how boys go with a tail. I would never do that, these days.

I never used to walk, I skipped (no matter what my mood was). I loved the feeling of it. Stopped doing it after I hit puberty though. Used to rock shoulder to shoulder in bed to help me sleep. Used to put pressure on my hands and feet so they would "fall asleep". Can't stand that pins and needles feeling now.

I still fiddle with toys and pens when no one is looking (except my hesband). Same with stimming. As a child I had a rocking chair and could stim all I liked without people noticing.

When stressed, I still find the feeling of cool flowing water on my face and hands calming. Could do it for hours if not for the water bill.

I still watch Sesame Street, Pinwheel (when I can get it)
Teletubbies, Care Bears, He Man, and I still wear
Pooh and Tigger on my overalls.

I still play on the swings at the park, I had a heat
stroke when I was 15 and since then have lost
all power to care what "the neighbours think",
if I am not committing any crimes, then I don't
see what the problem is.

I still watch lots of cartoons and mostly prefer animation, if I catch Sesame Street when surfing the channels I'll still watch it, especially if it's the older version, I still watch skits of it on Youtube. I'm the same with well illustrated childrens books, I just love getting lost in someone else's imagination. Trying to be an artist for most of my life, with any materials I can get my hands on, has managed to always lose me, especially with found objects/materials.

I so want to run and spin and skip, ride a bike or a horse again, even a rollercoaster :D I can only do that in my head now, lucky autism has given me such a great memory for these experiences and I can play the footage and sensations in my head whenever I want...it's still not the same unfortunately.

I still play with figures too, love posing them in interesting combinations (like my multi-denominational combination of Buddy Christ flanked by Lenny and Carl looking over at me from my speaker) and have lots of them around my bedroom.

Great threat Glider :)

I used to enjoy wandering through the woods-- when I tried doing it as an adult I just felt fear of bears or (human) predators. I used to enjoy playing with rocks and sticks. I still enjoy collecting rocks.

Running in circles while listening to music.

And spinning too, of course. I used to sit on the chair in the computer room, take the tie from a bathrobe, fasten it to a door handle and twist it until it was coiled enough that I could create a spinning top sort of mechanism, spinning myself and the chair around insanely fast. :D

The #1 thing that I miss from being a child is playing on swings. I would spend a lot of my time at recess on the swings, and I had a tire swing in my front yard that I loved to play on. I guess something about the sensory experience of the acceleration was incredibly relaxing.

There isn't really a replacement for that in the adult world, I don't think. Maybe the closest is some amusement park rides.

It's neat that someone mentioned skipping; I loved to skip when I was in elementary school. It would look really weird for an older person to skip, so I don't think about it much, but now that you reminded me, I probably would still skip if it wasn't seen as weird (and if I wouldn't end up hurting myself!)

:)

When I was about seven, I used to chant "We are bogies! We are bogies!" whenever my parents drove into a multi-story car park or a motorway tunnel  .

Oh, I love swings. It is an incredible feeling. I go for walks along the seafront where there is a playground area and still swing on them if nobody is around.

Ah, I forgot the spinning bit: would often be twirling something (assuming an item could be twirled about). yo-yos (could never get them to spin correctly so just twirled it), any random item with a string/rope and weight on the end was not safe from me. Not as common now since i use the computer a lot. Nowadays i tend to click my tongue, or make some random noise in my mouth (did that in the 4th grade a lot, made on of the girls in class mad).

Get a huge area rug with interlocking squares and rectangles and put it in the middle of your living room. Then find a favorite path for doing a small circuit on the rug. Add a little music in the background. Ahh... Good stuff. Your son may enjoy this too.

When I went to France there was something like this in a church. It was a maze engraved on the floor and you were supposed to walk it for meditative purposes. I walked the maze circuit a few times and what do you know it madfe me feel different (in a good way). Your rug with interlocking squares sounds like a smaller version of this same principle.
