Is there such thing as a mild form of asperger's syndrome?

There is PDD-NOS. I have no idea what people mean when they say they have a form of AS. Either they have it, or they don't.
People are confused because some people have different traits to others - and some have learned to cope better than others.
I cope better than most of my generation because although we (my whole generation) weren't diagnosed young - because the label wasn't in common use then, I received early intervention for my deafness. It helped with my social skills.
