Today, driving to and from work, the roads in Red Deer were horrible. The city didnt have snow plows out as much as they should have. The roads were so full of snow it would seem they were not even touched by a plow.Luckily, I drive a SUV and when I got stuck, I put it in four wheel drive.I barely touched the brakes and drove slow and cautiously. The interesections were pretty bad too...fishtailed in a few of the them after turning but quickly regained control of the vehicle....one must NEVER EVER hit the brakes when sliding...

HOWEVER, sometimes its fun to go into an empty parking lot and " play" in the snow with my vehicle.

I can get through any snow issue with my explorer...I park in the back alley which was knee deep in snow....that explorer drove through that no problem...get stuck, put it in 4WD and got unstuck like nothing to it. :)

Spokane Girl:
that video never gets old. XD

Anyway, I don't drive, so no, I haven't driven in those conditions.. but I've been in the car in those conditions. Mostly driving over the mountain pass in our area. But I guess people are a lot more careful in that kind of snow than they are on, say, inconspicuous morning ice.

But I've never been in the car when it's just like a solid skating rink under the snow like it apparently was that day in Portland. O__o
(I've been a pedestrian in those conditions though..)
