It is great to know that there are teachers out there that do care enough to use their personal time to try and come up with a way to help others understand those with AS.
I am a second year paralegal student in Alberta and once I start working in my trained profession, I would like to try and find a way to educate lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals on how to understand those with AS who might find themselves seeking help within the legal system or find themselves subject of the legal system or having to testify in a court case, and how to make the legal process easier.It would be good if we can try and make our courts more user friendly towards those with AS.I am looking in working in criminal law and litigation (personal injury law and civil law), and me having AS may be a benefit since some clients may have it and if they are understood by the legal team defending them, they will stand a better chance in court. I might try and sit in on more court cases, so I can learn more about the courts and how they work.

It seems society is stacked against those with AS, whether it be the school system, the job market, or the legal system. We need to start educating others on AS and that NOT all AS people scream, flap their hands, and throw tantrums and that just because our body language is making us seem a certain way, it doesnt mean we really are feeling that way or thinking that way.
