And do you find that easy with AS?

Well getting to the arctic is difficult with my resources tom, and there's all this fuss about the baby seals (can't see why as they'll otherwise just end up as dinner for a passing orca, and that lovely fur gets wasted!) but on the occasions I tried it; well yes it was thirsty work!

[Can't imagine what these other yokels are talking about (drinking alcohol in arctic conditions? Intersting perhaps, especially when the floes are breaking up, but very stoooopid!) so let's just ignore them shall we?]

I prefer to avoid that kind of social interaction if at all possible. I have a drink at home with hubby now and then, but one's my limit.

I've gone to clubbing and parties about 10 times in my life. I was drunk at every single occasion, because if I wasn't drunk, I'd be out of that place in no time.

I find it boring having to pretend to be happy and talk crap to other people who I know don't give a crap about me.

I think the binge drinking has affected my short term memory abilities a bit, and now I'd rather stay at home and rest, or go somewhere that I'm genuinely interested in visiting.

That's a big NO. Last week i went to a small party, though.. My sister and her husband were going to a friend's house and asked if i wanted to go along with them. I don't get invited to many things that that at all, so i tried it out. I played Rock Band with some of the people there and four of us played a board game, it was kind of fun. One guy there asked me why i was so "unsocial," lol.. I thought i was being very social just by going. I do drink at home some, but i don't "go out drinking." I think "clubbing" would be too loud and overwhelming.. And i'd probably end up by myself in the corner staring at the wall. If there were any clubs around here that played goth/post-punk type music i might check it out, though.. Just because that's my favorite music, and, also, goths don't care if you're by yourself in the corner staring at the wall, ha.

No. I have been to night club things before because I had to, and absolutely hated it. I seriously don't see how some people can call it fun.

As for alcohol, it screws with your head and your body, and should be illegal.

I've never even been to a club, and it does not sound like my idea of a fun time.

As for alcohol, that's a different story. I love drinking, but in a much more relaxed setting than a night club, such as hanging out with friends at someone's home.

I don't like clubbing much because usually, I'm not into the music they play.

I used to hate clubbing when I was mid -teens. Too much pressure.

Loved it from 19 - 20, I was wild with freedom with my 1st apartment.

Hated it again from 20 - 24, stuck back with the parents in a crappy little town.

Really loved it around 25-28, moved to the big city, had some 'party' friends (good for a party but not much else).

Now at 30 I'm too old, and too cheap. $20 cover and $7 a drink? Add the cost of a new outfit and cab. AND a babysitter. Plus it's really cold, and there's usually uncomfortable shoes involved.

So I'm pretty over it. I can drink and listen to loud music at home in my jammies if I feel the urge. :thumright:
