All I care is that they are comfortable and look decent. I don't care for fashion, I just wear jeans or sweatpants along with a plain t-shirt or sweater.

My clothing lasts for years, sometimes a decade. I refuse to to discard something that has not lost its purpose. I have my clothing for going out into the world(grocery store, restaurants, traveling, etc.), for work(including yard work), and exercise/outdoor leisure activities. Obviously, being introverted, my "good" clothes last the longest. I will vehemently procrastinate clothes shopping until it is absolutely necessary. I also have identical habits with shoes and jackets.

I like to wear my clothes (including shoes) again and again until they get fully worn out. I don't care about the latest fashions at all, and I like my clothes to be in plain colours with as little brand naming as possible.

I think it's crazy how some people spend more than $100 on any article of clothing (with the exception of shoes, suits and jackets), to me that's like overkill!

I treat my clothes well and make them last. I like to look good, and love to dress somewhat eccentrically. I like hats too. :)
I have certain pieces of clothing that are very old and I still wear them because I'm pretty attached to them. They have some holes, but not easily noticeable. If they are completely worn out, I will hang them in my closet and leave them there forever. I love buying new clothes though, I'm like a girl when it comes to shopping. haha :)

I am a bit obsessive about the kind of clothes I wear. I will only wear black jeans or proper trousers with black shoes and a t-shirt with a proper shirt over the top. I can't wear anything else because it makes me feel uncomfortable and I can't stop thinking about what I am wearing and it is therefore a distraction.
I don't like to damage clothes, so I organise them in my wardrobe carefully.

I care about how the clothes feel to my skin, that's all. I bought some Fruit of the Loom dark gray sweatshirts that are simply amazing! :D I own four of them, and I am going to buy more!

For the sake of keeping a job I have to keep up a certain amount of good-looking clothes for the office, but I don't know or care anything about what is or is not fashionable. The main concern after that, is that I absolutely HATE tight fitting clothes. As soon as something starts to pinch the crotch or arm pits or feels tight around my thighs or arms, I'll donate it to one of those charity second-hand stores.

I've always had a habit of buying very plain & boring clothes because I hate to stand out in any way.

I have a lot of clothes I still wear that are a bit tight on me, and I keep them cos they look good. I'm getting some weight off beginning next week though.

Oh, that crotchal hole story reminds me of the time I went to school with my school trousers ripped... there. A gaping hole. And to make matters worse, I fiddled with it in assembly...

I don't care, as long as it's comfortable.

I was discussing this with my NT friend today. Now that another friend has gotten me out of baggy paint splattered sweatpants into something a bit more respectable, apparently my figure can be seen more clearly. Because I'm hyperflexible, apparently when I stand at rest, it is normally at weird angles that models do deliberately, so it looks as though I'm posing.

So in my natural state, for the last 19 years, I've standing in this weird way, but wearing clothes that totally hide my figure and pose, and standing next to a large man who did martial arts, so no one thought anything of it.

Put into clothes that show my figure a bit more(I'm still totally covered up), and without the large threatening man, society interprets my normal at rest standing pose as something else. So I wonder if for my lineage at least, the instinct to not wear revealing clothes compensated/covered up what might otherwise be construed as come hither behaviour.

I have a couple of nylon sweatsuits that date back to my days as a high school basketball and soccer manager (15 years ago). I wear them around the house mostly due to the fact that they look a little ratty and the dress code at work doesn't allow it. Nylon for some reason is a fabric that I have always liked the tactile experience of wearing.

Another reason that it is hard to get rid of these outfits is due to the fact that they don't make athletic clothing out of nylon much any more. The athletic appareal companies are using more of a polyester spandex blend or a tricot fabric blend. Has anyone ever dealt with finding a replacement fabric or article of clothing when they no longer make an item or fabric that you enjoy wearing?

When I was in my teens and early 20s I'd wear the same or same looking clothes over and over again and often I neglected to wash them or myself. Once I was told by my employer that I was a good worker but smelled bad and needed more presentable clothes. I took showers every day and did the same with my clothes but I work the same shirts and jeans for years.

In my early thirties I had jobs which required that I wear a suit and tie. I got two suits which looked very similar and six shirts which I wore every day and my old jeans and tshirts at home. When I went out to clubs on weekends I'd always wear black jeans and black tops which were almost identical in appearance but differed in texture. I wore then until they wore out.

In my 40s through 50s I started wearing comfortable clothes until they rotted or tore away. I have shirts today that are more than twenty years old and I still like and wear them.

I buy clothes that I like and wear them wherever I want. Right now I'm changing my look to wear black casual pants, berets and kipahs, suspenders, button down collar dress shirts, and bow ties.

I like sameness punctuated by a little difference here and there.

I hate denim and most suit fabric. I usually wear loose cotton combats or (at home) tracksuit bottoms, or cotton shorts in summer (basically same fabric as my favourite trousers, only half as long). I have to have a T-shirt on under any top layer except for a polo shirt. Most of my T-shirts are black with favourite bands on, but sometimes I wear plain black ones. 95% of my clothes are black or olive (military green).

I have a pair of cycling tights for winter riding, but I usually stick tracksuit bottoms over them to protect modesty. That's the only tight item of clothing I wear, and that's only because it's the only practical/comfortable way to cycle any real distance in the cold wet and windy weather called the British Winter.

I have been told some of my clothes are worn but I wear them anyway. I wear whatever I like and what I find comfortable. I even sew up seems that rip open.

I don't buy new clothes anymore because I have enough and I don't like clothes shopping. I am the same way about bras. I have only gotten clothes on spontaneous. I'd be at second hand stores looking and then I would see something I like and get it. Then I decided to stop so I don't look at them anymore and then I do, I have to resist and I have a chance of walking out of the store with purchased clothing

Most of my clothes come from second hand stores.

Sounds a little like me. I have a pair of shorts from 18 years ago 8O from when I was a sophomore in high school. I still have a few shirts from and pants from 15 years ago (35 years old). They still fit and are comfortable. I just can't wear them to work or people would have problems with it.

I can't stand to shop, hate it. Too much stimulus, too many decisions...When I do need to go shopping for work clothes, I just get everything done at the same place. My store this year is Express.

When I find a pair of pants or shirt I like, I just buy the same one in different colors or something almost the same. They fit, I like them, little stress...

NOt noticing when clothes are worn out - that is me but I also don't notice when I leave the tags on my new clothes or stickers. That has happened a lot. I work in the school system so secretaries know this an area of weakness and usually help. They just think I am a stereotypical blond airhead, a little clueless about everything not work related.

(I am ADHD with sensory issues not dx AS although I have some traits).

I'm wearing the same type of clothes that I wore in my mid-teens, 25 years later.

In fact some of my t-shirts that I still wear (holes and all) are over 20 years old :D

I'd never realised this was an aspergers trait, it explains a lot. I do vaguely recall trying to change the style of clothes I wear a number of times but it never felt right and I always went back to what I know.

Similarly I hate shopping for new clothes.
