I am an empath too. I have been thinking alot about people who 'give off' as a way of coping and wonder what they name for them is, 'expathic'? Because I have always found those people can zone on in me, and start trying to 'shed' their negative energy (it doesn't work that way). I think that is probably why alot of people perceived as weak (aspies/hfa people included, with introverts, hsp's, empaths, psychics, whatever ) tend to get picked on and bullied, because of the tics of expathic people. I just became aware of this...I think it is because culturally if we are victims we are taught to look at ourselves and our own behavior and learn 'assertiveness' and other self-defensive traits, as if we are the ones with the defect. Society doesn't seem to value deep intuitive perception at all. Instead of dissecting the bullies and blowhards, who are actually more defective. I have found the energy of the 'doubting thomases' when it comes to this topic to be pretty rank, across the board, just flat, dull, no one I want to know, really. And it's annoying how threatened they are by this topic that they have a seeming need to oppress it.
