I think that what a child need is 2 loving parent, economical and social stability. If you two can have those 3, there is no problem.

Do you "understand" love/caring?
Do you have a stable work?
Are you able to listen for 4 hours a baby crying hard?

If you think that you'll be able to give a baby whatever he need, there is no problem for an AS to have children.
And yes we have an higher chance. But what's the deal? I think that if you two want to have children you are happy? Isn't it?

I've read some studies about it but it's nothing "definitive", actually my psicologist doesn't agree, and I agree with her. It's far more probable that a child will have the neurological trait of his/her parents. For istance, if both me and my wife are Aspie but we have sense of humor (just an example), our child will probably have it.
