I saw My Bloody Valentine in Real-D 3D and I thought it looked great, I wish I could've seen Coraline.

Older red/blue glasses are okay, but they don't work so well on images that are in color (which is basically every 3D movie since the 60s).

I get motion sickness in certain videogames, and especially in the car, but 3D stuff has never really bothered me.

I absolutely loved the story line, but the motion sickness ruined it for me. When I see it again, I'll avoid the 3-D completely.

If you ever try it again, try and sit as far back as you can. The key is to sit where you can see the entire screen without having to "scan" the screen left-to-right.

I refuse to sit closer than half-way back in a 3D movie, and have recommended the same to others. With 3D, the half-way point almost becomes the new "front of the screen" (with the 3D depth going backwards from that point).

I get some motion sickness, too, but I only had issues at a couple of points in Avatar. (Mainly, the scenes where there was a lot of swooping camera moves through the jungle.) I was probably 2/3rds back in the theater.

For me, a lot of the greatness of Avatar was in the 3D elements. If I had to see Avatar in 2D, I think I'd rather watch Princess Mononoke, which has some similar themes and some beautiful animation. (I'd highly recommend that movie as well as Avatar 3D.)

I never had a problem with 3D movies. If you ever get to see iMax 3D you should try it. It was the most realistic 3D film I have seen. I will resist the temptation to give a lecture about everything 3D, since it was a special interest at one point. Suffice it to say stereo photography has a long history.

What makes me nauseated is strobe lights.

This was an iMax theater. I do wish I would have been able to enjoy it.

I can't watch 3d. I have tried twice and it makes me so nervous.
I tried to close my eyes from time to time and concentrate in film.
Nervousness disappeared towards the end of the film, but I kept feeling dizzy and closing my eyes to rest them.
Then I was interested if is an Asperger's issue.
