here is another 2 clips of going to town (sydney) from my place (on the outskirts) along a freeway.

i floored it at the beginning and then took my foot off and had to stay behind a car that was doing 110 kph for a while.
then when he pulled over, i let my foot rest and at the end of the clip i slowed up because i had to go through a toll booth.

here is pulling out from the toll booth and i do not floor it, but i do push the accelerator about 1/4 way down.
you can see when i film the speedo (if you freeze it on a non blurry frame) that my speed is 160 kph. it is a bit silly of me, but it is a divided road and if a police car went by in the opposite direction he could not do anything about it.

I am very similar. Speed to me seams almost relaxing. I am really bad about taking corners fast. I have to force myself to just set the cruise control so I do not get anymore tickets.

Wow. Impressive. Nice vids, b9, although I've only watched the first one so far.

I drive fast but not that fast. I mean, I rarely go less than 130 or 140 kph (in in australia too) on the freeway but I don't ever go 200.
I drive a little Mazda 323 and I don't think it handles my driving as it is.

Actually, if anyone can recommend a small-ish (or not) car that is good for tough drivers I would appreciate it.

I really seem to burn cars out as I am a fairly impatient driver and I suspect hard on a car. I take corners and other negotiations in a highly calculated way (ie efficient) which some people find horrifying (he he).
Even my Mazda I quite like yet the suspension has had to be fixed, something's up with the exhaust and it's got a noise that I suspect is the transmission (oh no :eew: dreading the next diagnostic)
Maybe I ought to just get a truck (can't afford a new one though; second hand is OK). I'm tempted to just get a s**tbox so that it doesn't matter if it's not tough but I think that logic is faulty.

I'm moving to the city soon and planning to use more public transport. I'm going to move close to where I need to go most of the time so that I can do this. I'm so sick of having to deal with problems in cars.

I just got another speeding fine in the mail last week. This is annoying, as I just think it's kinda dumb to get caught. I did nearly lose my licence last year because of speeding fines

If I had received one more ticket in Florida I would have gotten suspended. I have a new license here in Missouri and the point's didn't transfer. YAY!

Cheering!! Wish that could happen here. I had to go on probation ('good behaviour') for 12 months to avoid losing mine. With the one I've just got, I'm not sure whether the 12 months is up, or not. If it's not, I'll lose my licence for 6 months. If it is *crosses fingers* then I'll be OK I think. 8)

I drive fast if I'm comfortable/familiar with the roads. Where I live there are no cops on the back highways; I have a 60+ mile drive to work (none of which is on the freeway) so I hoss it on the winding 2-lanes at 85-90mph whenever it's open road.

Until like 8 months ago I drove a Chevy blazer for years (which I rarely rode like that) but now I have a Subaru impreza; that thing is a lil missile and the handling is nuts so I can hardly help it. I was tearing it thru the snow at 80mph a couple days ago without a care in the world.

Sometimes we can take a university whip to work (which is a late-90s taurus) and I've taken that thing close to 110mph a couple times. I figured those would have governors on them but apparently not.

That wasn't on the road, the top road speed was 156mph on a German Autobahn of course  .

It looks like some of the LCD bars are broken on the gauge assembly.

Yes, there is no top bars on the trip meter, it could be 31.5 miles or 37.5 miles, I just guess rather than pay out over £150 for a new set of instruments.

Since we are posting videos here's one of mine,
