My animal obsession has been a family joke for years. I am currently saving my money to buy a farm in Oregon because I couldn't have enough pets the old fashioned way. :) My son is also obsessed with animals, so I do think it is an aspie thing.

I hate hearing, "you don't seem autistic/aspie". I have a nagging suspicion most people have no idea what autistic or aspie "seem" like in the first place...

I love animalsand am periodically really obsessed with them. Marine animals too. I like studying wild animals and their taxonomy. I was really into Lemmings, Red Panda (like my avatar?), wallaby mobs, and now the great Orca Whale.
