It's hardly my fault that people all look the same.

I have a terrible time recognizing people. The only time I am able to recognize them is when they are in the expected place. With this I mainly mean my friends. I used to go to the world's worst organization and I had a socialization class. All my friends are there and I lost them. If I saw my friends outside in like a store or something, then I probably won't be able to identify them. Its like this for other people we know too such as the doctor. At least I know my family!

Something that has always bothered me is that I can't recall a face in my mind, not even my kids. I CAN recall a photograph, though, so when I think of my kids its of certain snapshots instead of their live faces....

Same. I can recreate people's faces using the Sims but for some reason it is different if face to face. Confusion sets in.

I also often mistake people who look similar.

That actually also happens to me all the time, the other day I ended up having to talk to someone who I didn't know, the person was definitely wearing the same jacket and looked quite familiar, he did have the quite shock look on his face.

This isn't the first time its ever happened to me, but it has happened to me plenty of times.

I forgot what my mum looked like today. I live with her.

And apparently the girls I met a a wedding reception knew me. They acted as though they knew me since childhood. But I just didn't remember their faces. I remembered one of their names. But people were assuming I knew who the other one was ("got sit near so and so" - err, who?). For the whole day I was thinking I don't know these people.

Any one else has this problem with remembering faces?

Yup, I'm useless at it.

I hardly recognize anybody, anymore, they look so much alike. It makes me wonder whatever happened to individuality. Another thing that I keep in mind, is that people age, and when somebody that I know, very well ages, I have a harder time recognizing them.

I was walking home the other day and this guy in a pickup truck just like the one my brother owns pulls up and beckons me to come over to him. I thought he looked like my brother but I wasn't taking any chances. I happened to see some things in the car that my brother had as well and figured it must be him and if it was some weirdo I could easily kick his ass. It turned out it really was my brother. I later found out he thought it was so funny I did not reconise him. He's actualy rather clueless about AS but he is actualy VERY tolernant of my special intrests so I could care less. All people look alike to me and when I go out with others I have to memorise what they are wearing so we don't get lost. I can't even really remember what my parent's faces look like.
