My eye's lit up after the first 10 minutes of the film. Said out loud in the theater, "I want to live in this world."

It saddens me that people are so used to social lubrication that the truth is considered rude. Naturally mean people would no longer have a place to hide.

I enjoyed this movie, except the subtle anti-religious theme irritated me.

Someone said I act like I am in that movie though, which is true.

I remember watching this movie, and really loving the first part of the movie and finding it good and funny, but then it started to get weird... I think that was when the subtle anti-religious themes started to become more obvious or something. I can't completely remember because it's been awhile since I saw the movie...

Why sad? The reality is we are animals that use everything we have to adapt to our environment, which includes the social environment. Language is just another adaptation used for various purposes such as gaining social benefits in the herd and competing with others. There's a fundamental conflict between competing for oneself and fitting into the herd, so I can see why dissimulation would be an adaptation and honesty would lead to conflicts.

The people in the movie were too stupid to think about meanings of comments and have opinions about anything. They simply believed everything they heard. I would hate to live in that world, because I would hope I can be more thoughtful and creative, like the main character in the movie.

I agree with you it's nice to be able to speak bluntly often, but the reality of our existence is too complicated for that.
