does anyone else have this prob when talking do u say words(in the middle of the sentence ) that have nothing to do with the subject your talking about

every now and then my brain will shift gears without me telling it to- this usually happens when i get distracted and then i will say something about the object which distracted me instead of my original subject. like if i am talking to my sister when one of her pesky cats starts rubbing against my leg [wants me to feed it] i will start talking about catfood instead of what i was discussing earlier. i hope this made sense to you.

I do this. I also begin to pronounce words and cannot finish them. I hate it, it makes me look so strange to people. I remember in elementary school I had speech therapy because I had trouble pronouncing them (words) correctly. My mother will mock me to this day and just laughs after she says words like I use to say them. I have never understood what is so funny about my speech difficulties.

It's ok, I do it too and have been laughed at in the past for it. These days people know not to or it will set off an atomic bomb of a meltdown.

Is this the same thing at all? I just said this about 10 minutes ago, I always forget these examples so I thought I would come post it straight away.

I was waving the Philadelphia pot in my Mum's face and she said, "What?" I said, "Smunny Fell!"

I do this a lot. It makes me sound like I am 4. I can't find anything online about it.

Kinda. Often my brain "blanks out" in the middle of a sentence, and sometimes my words don't make sense, especially if I stutter them.
