Hi, it's great that you're looking for answers, and I hope you find them. Of course a professional neuropsych is most reliable, if you can afford it. 
You've said that the thing that bothers you most is you're smart but still get bad grades. There are a lot of learning disabilities that can cause this besides AS. Have you looked into other ones as well?
