That's the same as the person with AS and the intense interest; seeing nothing but the here and now.

A nihilist will say that there's no objective meaning to life. :)

I got an 8. And that was because I was maybe a little too liberal in checking some descriptions.

6. Some points for being pretty emotionally cold, and a few for missing responsibilities (bills tend to be sent out the day they're due when I'm in charge).

My score was 7.

This was a stupid test, imo (although I agree with the low score) because afterwards, it was talking about The Clinton's & some suicide. That made no sense whatsoever to me.

5.

I don't like some of the way things are grouped together: for example:

Quote:
A lack of feelings toward people in general; cold, contemptuous, inconsiderate, and tactless.

A lack of feelings does not necessarily mean that one is cold and contemptuous (and besides, contempt is a feeling).

What a coincidence, I was planning to post the Hare psychopathy checklist in here too. The score I got is 18 though I followed the descriptions of the behaviors illustrating particular characteristics pointed in there; when I previously was trying to understand on my own what the creator of the test meant by some peculiar points, how the characteristics from them manifested, my result was 21 points.

I was just gonna say (then I saw it mentioned) that it's the psychopathy checklist. But you can't answer it yourself! A genuine psychopath doesn't consider himself grandios or to have an inflated view of himself, he thinks he has a perfectly reasonable view of himself and there are similar problems with most of the statements. A lot of psychopaths have in fact claimed to have great empathy. I.e, there's nothing wrong with them, it's the rest of the world that's made up of idiots.

Most of the statements are way to complex to answer without thorough investigation. So I'm gonna take the high scores you guys got with a pinch of salt (as well as the low ones of course). If someone scores really high on this test I'm gonna guess they either wish they were a psychopath, have been diagnosed with it and had their symptoms pointed out to them, or they're actually afraid that they're psychopaths and then "when you're a hammer everything starts looking like a nail".

The list itself is not BS though. As far as I know (from talking to a forensic psychiatrist who has experience using it) it's a very useful tool, even though nobody ever gets a "perfect" score.

It kept me from being bored for a couple of minutes...but other than that...no real point whatsoever(in my opinion).

0, I'm disheartened that anyone seriously checked any of those.

Like someone said though, its pretty much impossible to be objective about this sort of thing in regards to oneself.

14. I think that test is crap, I got that score i thnk because of lack of goals, impulsiveness, wild behaviour when I was younger but that is more ADD and alcohol... anyone with a wilder youth or anyone impulsive will get a higher score. I am extremely impulsive but i am truthful and I do not use people. i am not charming either.

I scored 24. I'm definitely not a psychopath, it's probably just my age. I have to admit, I really dislike tests like these.

The test is worthless unless you focus on what makes a psychopat a psychopat. Having little to no emotions for example is a trait that they have common with ASD, but the big difference is: we have empathy - they DONT.

Sociopaths/Psychopats (Commonly known as an Anti-social disorder) are the only ones that "exist" in the world, and when their world view is threatened, they break - its really pathetic to see them becomming aware of the world. Psychopats are Anti-social, Aspies are A-social,

If you have ever met a psychopath, you'll know. NT people find them emotionally exhausting (hard to work with and emotionally grinding) the way we find NT people exhausting to deal with their social quirks. I actually worked with one for a short while, i could "smell" that there was something very wrong with him.

He was a cold person who was very egocentrical. He was severely disturbed by my lack of social protocol, he didnt know how to handle me because i told him to go and f himself, and i am not certain that an NT person would have the "social-balls" to say what i said.

One good thing about Aspergers is the invisible +32 point armor with immunity to BS :D
