I'd say that i like predictability... But my lack of organizational skills make it hard to establish day-to-day routines. I do have a strong tendency to do things in the same ways when i do them, though. People call me stubborn.

I like routines though am not able to set any at the moment. I have to be flexible since am at home with my little daughter and she has naps on different times or sometimes doesn't sleep so I can't plan much, because she'd "ruin it".
I have some brands I like, but in this case I also became more flexible.

i routinely do all that i do every day.
i do not have to think about what modifications or considerations i have to impose upon my daily activities if they are pre programmed.

i am not good at spontaneously imagining new ways to enact the efforts i must perform to get things done, so i require the order of execution of all my daily activities to be concrete in order to relaxedly perform them.

i think it is because i have trouble with executive functioning.
once i have devised a successful sequence of actions to perform to get my daily chores done,i remember them, and the next time i have to perform those chores, it is automatic, and it does not tax my executive function ability.

i am very slow to adapt to a disruption of the timetable of events in my day, and i resent the amount of effort i must employ to accommodate the requirements imposed upon me when i have to spontaneously work out how to get them done in a timely way.

"routine" is an automatic and inevitable course of activities that does not require conscious intervention.
any requirement for conscious intervention is a requirement of executive function.

I like routine. Every day, I simply do the same things in the same order. It keeps me from being anxious. It's good to keep track of things, too. Plus, with it, my kitty always knows where to find me when she wants a treat, to be stroked, or anything.

I would function a lot better with routine but I have yet to have the discipline to establish one. Consequently if someone wants me to do something I'm not prepared for, everything falls apart. I forget things that have nothing to do with the added task and walk into walls etc. I need a personal manager.
