It sucks.

Ooh, that sounds familiar.

It could also be, that our bullies don't want to admit that we can be stronger, than they are.

The whole thing sounds very familiar to me.

In mainstream society I think it's possible to get roped into a group for no other reason that they think they can use you as an underdog, somebody inferior, so they can appear stronger. So when you stick up for yourself they'll round on you and try to smack you down again.

Solution? If it's purely social, just make for the exit door and free up your time to find more suitable people. There are lots of folks who don't need scapegoats. If it's a workplace situation, it might not be so easy to walk away. That sucks. All you can do is make yourself as comfortable as you can, and use your wits to fight back. There are employment laws that ought to make it quite difficult to be really nasty to anybody.....look in the rule book for any reference to being treated with dignity and respect, and to exclusion and discrimination.

I agree...

This is what I call testing by NT's. I have seen it in many job interviews and on the job. They want you to be weak and
just take insults. Then they know they can rip you off on other things like shorting pay, or stealing ideas, and you will not complain.
But then when you stand up for yourself, then they know they cant rip you off and then try and blame everything on you or say something is wrong with you.

That is what I think NT's spend their life doing, testing people and getting a collection of weak willed sycophants to surround themselves with.

this does happen, they do try your limits, see what they can get away with. I have never been able to respond adequately. The worst 'testers' in my experience tend to be on the PD spectrum, borderlines, narcissists, anti-socials, etc, and alot of NT people may 'go along to get along' because they know what these folks are capable of. One thing that sucks in my life is I have been many times the only one who was willing to buck the social convention and stand up the ringleader, whom every one was kvetching about behind the scenes, only to find myself with NO support in the heat of confrontation, and the NT people who agreed with me kind of looking down and not saying anything. Ive had similar experiences, quite a few of them end up going good.

some examples? well here are one or two

Back when I used to work at the hospital kitchen, everyone always used to just simply go with the flow. Management bringing down everyone else, and the hostesses and cooks being a general pain in the ass. Throughout my 2 years of working there, I have pushed the rules and buttons beyond their breaking point. Ive made people quit because they couldn't step all over me. There was this one boss that was lazy to the point of she would sit in her damn office and would make everyone else always fetch her food and drink. Well unfortunately for her she happened to choose me for that duty on of the days. I was on janitorial duty and was already busy prepping for an inspection the next day, so I was working 200% as it was. When she asked me to, I told her to stop being so ******* lazy, that I am already too busy to get it. The then pretty much went well its your job, and you have plenty of time to clean everything. I still just flat out said no and continued working. I thin got threatened with a write-up, and the answer was still no. THen she threatened termination and this is what I then said. "You know, you walked up to me and stood here for the last 5 minutes arguing with me to do something you are just too ******* lazy to do yourself. I dont have the time of day to get you your ******* coffee and tastycake. And if you think threatening to fire me would get me to do it then you are just ******* stupid. So either crawl back into your damn cave and get someone else to do it, or go get it your self. In other words, stop being a ******* lazy-ass moron." She then went back to the office bawling her damn eyes out, and called the general manager. He came in, talked to us over it, and I got a writeup for it. In turn, most of the regular worked found a new level of respect for me, especially the 73 year old cook that I would always help. He just simply said "I could never have imagined the day out of my thirty years of working here that someone would have the balls to even do that. You have done something that no one has ever done yet." The next day of work, I then found out that that sub-manager quit over emotional distress.Of course the hostesses felt bad for her and treated me worse. They were women that brown-nosed a lot to the management and the boss that quit was one of their main go-to people. Everyone else though branded me a damn hero.
That was within the first 6 months of working there.

As for when I got fired, I could be put here too, as I was sick and tired of everyone being too lazy to complete their damn work, leaving it for the next shift. Well, that load happened to fall on me, on one of those rare days where I worked dishroom. The hostesses were then being b*****s about it, and I constantly refused to do as they said. They then got the supervisor, because they are a group of brown-nosers after-all, which in turn lead to a big argument, me kicking a steel door off of the hinges, and storming off to cool down. Well, the gen manager got called in. I got put on a week long leave, and was put under review. I had to be present for those. The gen manager vouched for me, but I ended up getting fired anyways because of his higher-up saying that I got let away with too much. Well, things then changed. I am still in contact with a few of the workers, and because of me, most of the workers now stand up for themselves. Alot of people got very upset with management for firing me, and it got to the point where a strike occured. The hospital management iteself took notice, annulled the contract with sodexo themselves, and then started running the place. So it is now a better environment for the workers and all that.
