Being recognized isn't that great. After my last TV show I had random creepy guys walking up to me when I was trying to eat and bugging me, I didn't enjoy it at all. Conventions and public apparances are horrible, it is all small talk, and taking pictures with people who have to be shoved into you for the pic (which means they are making contact, I hate being touched by strangers even if the person is just shoulder to shoulder) Signing crap and hearing how they have "everything you've ever been in, like EVERYTHING" (can you say stalker???)
Yeah, the money is great, I won't lie, even union minimum is $500 a day, and that is consisdered crap pay if you only make that. And it is cool to get some special treatment, I like free stuff as much as the next person.
But the other side of it is 15 hour days on set, being in make up at 5 am and having a personal assistant who is new and messes up your breakfast which obviously then I can't eat because I have issues with how my food is, and annoys me because I just get used to my old PA, Being away from your family for weeks at a time in a strange place, not being able to sleep in your own bed. Bleh. It isn't as easy or fun as people think it is.

Write and perform a one hit wonder. I've even penned the lyrics for you (honest!):

When will I
will I be famous?

You're suitably at one with your body
and the sun
yes
you are!
You've read Karl Marx and you've taught yourself to dance

You're the best by far!
But you keep asking the question

oh
you're not supposed to mention.

When will I
will I be famous?
I can't answer
I can't answer that.
When will I see my picture in the paper?
I can't answer
I can't answer that.

When will I
will I be famous? You keep asking me
babe.

You're a slave to fashion and your life is full of passion

It's the way you are!
You've suffered for your art with the iogging in the park

You know you should go far!
But you keep asking the question
oh

you're not supposed to mention.

When will I
will I be famous? . . .

Oh
I can't tell you when you'll see your name up in lights.
When will I
will I be famous? You keep asking me
babe.
I can't wait!

You won't suffer in silence

You're a talent
you know that I've noticed

You'd like to be a legend
a big star over night!

I can't answer your question

- I can't wait -
it's driving me insane

And you're impossible in patience
tearing at my brain!

When will I
will I be famous?
I can't answer
I can't answer that.
When will I
will I be famous?
I can't answer
I can't answer that.
When will I
will I be famous?
I can't answer
I can't answer that.

WHAT A TUNE!

No, seriously fame isn't everything. If you are desperate, at least try and make it secondary to being happy (very cliche) and doing somehing you are good at. Determination with what you are good at, whether it be music or journalism etc. will bring you fame (in an ideal world). Anyway, most people seek fame, and when they get it, they don't want it amymore.

Wooooooooaaaaaaahhhhhhh, guys. Slow down, please. Save your batteries. I wasn't looking for a movie career or anything. I just want to find out what I am good at, and then put those skills to really good use, like Jason McElwain did.

I know a way to get well known, this may not be celebrity fame type level, but it's a start.

First find a skill or something that you really have drive behind, something that you are interested in and is practical for you. Work on it, but don't just make it the equivelent of a hobby, if you want to be recognised so bad then your going to have to put alot of work into it.
Get recognised, if you decide to do art for example, paint, draw, do whatever you can in any spare time you get, enter in competitions, draw great artworks and give them to friends, do small things that will get your community learning about you. Word of mouth can be very powerful.

If you are successful in whatever it is and people start talking about you, often opportunities arise, you must accept these opportunities to advance. Hopefully things will get bigger and bigger.

I don't know your age, but if you are young then use your age to your advantage, really excel past the others your age and you will get noticed, adults really notice little kids with amazing talents, especially if adults can't even do it.

Just realise, that if you don't naturally have a driving desire and focus like many savant autists do, this will likely be hard work staying on track. Not all aspergers people are savant autists I'm afraid.
