Margret Thatcher dosen't exactly have the best reputation, for the reasons you listed there.

Aspies do not have any deficiency in social skills, we simply socialise differently to NTs. So in a world of Aspies, that wouldn't be a problem.

Some people have said Gordon Brown and George Bush were Aspies, but I don't see why. Gordon Brown probably has dyspraxia and dyslexia though.

I really don't think Margaret Thatcher was an aspie. As Tony Attwood says in The Complete Guide to Aspergers Syndrome, aspies are great sticklers for truth, fairness and justice, and Thatcher didn't know the meaning of these 3 words. Also, it would seem that contrary to popular opinion, rather than lacking empathy we feel other's emotions too strongly to cope with it (google "Asperger's theory does about-face".)

There is one area in which Robert Moses really, really screwed up:

Building low underpasses on "parkways" in New York City, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, so that trucks cannot successfully navigate the "parkways." Trucks are always getting stuck under the underpasses--hence, traffic jams caused by "unauthorized vehicles."

It is said that Moses wanted "parkways" to be patronized only by people whom he considered to be "cultured." He wanted the riffraff limited to the "expressways." This is why access to his beaches (e.g. Jones Beach, Robert Moses State Park) is only via his "parkways": he wanted to keep the riffraff out of his parks.

Additionally, it could be said that the construction of the Cross Bronx Expressway in the 50's-60's lead to the Fort Apache atmosphere of the Bronx in the 70's-80's.
