I wonder why nobody has answered "no" to this thread?

Think about it....

No, REALLY! Think about it....

I talk to myself all the time, and don't really even care if anyone notices. My only concern is whether it makes others uncomfortable. I try not to do it too much when others are around.

I used to work stocking coolers at a local store. Used to talk to myself all the time while I was in them. Every now and again, I'd look up to see someone standing outside the cooler with one of the doors open, staring at me with a quizzical look. At first, it embarrassed me a little. After a while, I'd accuse them of eavesdropping and make a joke of it. After a longer period, all the regulars had come to accept it's just part of who I am, and we'd both joke about it. Some would even bring their friends over just to spy on me. It became a friendly game with most of them.

I don't care at all what anyone thinks of it anymore. It's my way of working things out, much the same as they say dreams are.

I talk to myself, sometimes having conversations and arguments with myself. I do it to verbalize my thoughts – it makes them easier to process.
I use the arguments to see both sides and see which one is better.
I try not to do when I'm around people but sometimes I do it without realizing.

No, I don't talk to myself. My self isn't patient enough to listen to it all :D

Sometimes I do Auties Rock and then I speak some nonsense, quietly and indistincly. It looks like I was on drugs.

I talk to myself 24/7. I even have been reported to be talking in my sleep! I can't keep anything to myself so I just say everything out loud. It is annoying but I can control it to some extent and don't do it in public in the fear that people will think I am nuts and talking to voices. I admit that is what I think when I see someone on the street talking to themselves. Of course I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective but I don't really have voices.

I don't talk unless all but forced. Why would I waste words when there's no one around?

I do talk to the cat, however, and I tell her things, and she talks back :)

My parents broke me of this habit in a not so painless way when I was young. Even if I try it when I am trying to figure something out I feel guilty when doing it. So I no longer do it.

I talk to myself a lot. I try to only do it when there's no one around. I do it at work, mostly talking myself through things as I do them. One person I work with does this also.
Sometimes when I've been out in public I've proclaimed a loud answer to something I've been thinking about. People have looked at me funny but I think they're just making sure I wasn't talking to them.

I talk to animals all the time. I like them better than people. Once when I was at work with horses, I was leading one in from the back paddock, I must've bumped my phone and my Mum said she was listening to me having a conversation with the horse and singing with it.

Yes

When I do, it is conversational quite often. Usually to organize a plan or reflect on something I learned about an interest.

Though, seemingly leftover impulsivity also causes me to talk at the computer at work in certain ways. I don't care if others are around. It's usually when frustrated with something or someone being stupid, that ends up verbalized.
