I have unusual voice. Double-lined, resistant to any mastering. Low-pitched, deep and neutral gender sounding. I can growl. I sing with microwave owen. My voice is my characteristic feature.

I don't have a monotone voice but I've been told my accent is very pronounced. And I also tend to speak too animatedly (is that a word?), whereas my voice goes up and down quite a lot. One of my friends said my laugh does the same.

When I was a kid I used to talk nonstop to the point where I'd lose my breath.

As a child I had a very nasally voice. It seems to have moderated as I age, although it still is slightly detectible.

I have this very nasal voice that sounds like that of a stereotypical nerd. I tried putting a British accent on it for a while, but my girlfriend hated it. To be fair though...I have no idea how that came off either.

I will confess though...my voice is good for doing voice impressions; and if I need any more help in this world weeding out horrible people who will never respect me/take me seriously, if being Autistic alone don't do it, my voice just helps give it that extra push.

I cringe at ever having to hear my own voice. There's just something about it that I don't like. Not everyone hates it, but it gets on my nerves, so I don't tape and listen to myself. It always sounds better when I am listening to it while speaking instead of the recorded version, Whenever I hear it recorded, I can't believe it sounds quite that nasaly.

Yeah.

It sounds snarly and if I talk too fast my R's warp around to sound like W's and L's. And I'm always either talking too loud or too quiet.

My voice is an odd pitch, and hard for others to hear sometimes. Don't recall anyone ever telling me it sounds odd, but when I sing, i know it's unusual, or, at least unique. But then, to me all voices are unique. I often watch actors I know, and have seen before on TV, but don't even know I know who they are until I turn away from the TV and just listen to them. Then it'll hit me who it is. The really wierdest part about that is that the same is true if it's an animated part. It's the voice that's the giveaway, but if I'm actually watching the screen, I can't tell who it is.

Someone mentioned taping themselves. A lot of people have trouble listening to their own recorded voice, because it doesn't sound the same to you. We hear our own voices through the bones in our heads, and not as others hear it through the air. When it's recorded, we actually hear a closer representation to the way others hear it. I write songs, and record myself all the time, so I'm used to it. The first time I ever heard it though, it sounded so weird to me.
