Put toilet paper in the bowl BEFORE you go, it'll act as a suppressor LOL!

In Japan this is suvh a big problem that they invented a device called the Sound Princess. It makes a sound like a toilet flushing when you press a button. It was invented because people were continuously flushing toilets (and wasting too much water) in order to cover the sound of peeing or pooping.

And do you know how they figured that out? They have camera's in the toilets because they like to perve lololool. When I was in Japan I saw some guy chasing girls and staring up their skirts from behind in Ikebukuro lol.

Well, I think you should try and force yourself to use the bathroom when your family is there. Everytime you do, you get yourself a present. Like a game or something like that. After a while you won't care or at least it'll be worth it lol cos in the end you get a prize =D

Also, nobody will say anything or care because everyone plays the trumpet hahahahaha!

I'm SO GLAD I'm not the only person with this problem. I am embarrassed to go in front of ANYBODY though! I think it all stems back from a couple of incidents at school where bullies made fun of me for going for a 'twofie' in the girls room... I was only 9 for god's sake but it traumatised me! I'm better with 'onesies' now, no problem but still can't go twofie outside!

(by outside I mean in toilets outside of my house, not in the yard...)

Easy solution, try running the water to hide the sounds, you shouldn't have to worry over something everybody does, the Queen of England most likely farts on the the royal toilet, its not like your family are scoring you on the amplitude and staying power of your movements

Hey, i got a great idea for "abuse your autistic children even more" week.

You know those meters that they use in the stadiums to measure the loudness of the fan's cheers?
Install one in your bathroom... and set up a limit on it, that if you go over, and loud obnoxious alarm starts wailing.

I have a sadistic side to me sometimes

Ben Elton did a sketch on Saturday Night Live about this problem, and all the different ways of masking sounds, that I thought was very funny. A few years later I saw an interview where he described the nerves he had before doing standup comedy with a sketch where he had no idea, before doing it, whether the audience would relate to such a personal issue - what if nobody laughed because nobody else was as uptight as him about anal brass music? What if they laughed AT him?! Anyway, they did laugh, a lot.

i discovered that there is one thing more mortifying than obnoxious sound effects in the public lavatory, and that is obnoxious odors emanating from yours truly. i et something which promptly disagreed with me, and i had to use the public facilities in the college i was attending at the time, and the aroma quickly filled the room and stank to heaven- and while i was sitting there nervously doing the paperwork, i could hear people coming in and gasping one by one, i could hear 'em holding their breaths and quickly tinkling then leaving post-haste, and i could hear the snarky comments such as, "christ almighty! who died in here and left us with that godawful stench?!" "MAN! what the hell did you EAT?" "GAWD! you need to see a doctor about that!" and the like. i waited until everybody was gone and the coast was clear before i left the stall.

Good grief!

It's a toilet for gosh sakes. Where are we SUPPOSE to empty our bowels .... the Dean's office!!

If the odour is foul - there is this wonderful thing called "mouth breathing" - they should have just done their friggin business and left. Where they planning on having a picnic in the washroom?! ! I somehow think not! I washroom is for peeing and pooping, farting and belching. It is for picking your teeth so that it is not done in public. It is for adjusting your underwear and scratching your ass. Sometimes there are noises. Sometimes there is odours. IT'S A TOILET, NOT GRANDMAS POTPOURRI DISH. IT'S A WASHROOM, NOT AN LAVENDER FIELD!

Yeesh.

I'm sorry you felt mortified. I hope that at least one of the nitwits that made stupid comments farted loud and nasty on a first date, in Toyota Yaris, in the winter with the windows closed.

i suspect they were mouthbreathers to begin with, IOW not refined nor especially intelligent. maybe when they were mouthbreathing, they could taste the odor.

thank you for your concern. your imagery is hilarious  reminds me of my own nasty story from my childhood, about eating [yet again] something which disagreed with me, in this case it was chili, cheddar cheese and milk the previous evening. anyways, i boarded the schoolbus on a cold winter morning, and the windows were closed and the bus heater in front by the driver was blowing warm air back towards the passengers, when a silent-but-deadly emanation from myself, caused the person sitting behind me to get carsick and vomit all over himself, and the combined smell and heater air flow wafted rearwards to the rest of the bus passengers, who coughed and proceeded to open the windows, and pretty soon most of the smell ventilated outwards, but then it got cold inside, and the bus driver yelled, "close them goddamned windows!" so the windows got closed, but then the emanations kept happening and somebody else vomited and the stink arose again, and pretty soon the bus driver sneered and yelled "open them goddamned windows!"
when we arrived at school and disembarked, the other kids yelled at me, "what the hell did you EAT last night?!"
