I get that all the time. My family members try to prevent it by reminding me not to repeat things that they say out of context.

Sometimes people say it to me, but most of the time it's mainly the confused, weird, or odd looks I get after I say something that hint towards me that what I said was, in one way or another, stupid/wrong/offensive etc. I sort of have to... guess if what I said was wrong or not based on how people react to it. It sucks, because I can't really see why what I said was wrong or whatever.

I had a boss that hated dumb questions so one of my co-workers told me to run the question thru him first if he said it was a good question that I should ask. I asked a safety question one time and the boss like "cooooome oooon man!". It was weird if I wanted to try to do something different he let me do it but god help me if asked what he thought was a dumb question. He said through expemintation comes better results as long as I do not blow a machine up.

Durring high school my brother and friends were always making hand gestures or making faces to get me to stop talking about something. I asked too many questions about inapropiate things or bring up something I shouldn't.
