My hat size is 7 3/4 which can be troublesome when shopping for a new hat. My son also has a big noggin.

Getting ahead topic

In pictures as a kid my head looks bigger, but now as an adult it is just a different shape, being longer front to back than wider up front.

In terms of head size, there is a range. I have seen children with larger heads that are hydrocephalic or there is a cranial defect perhaps caused by genetics. Or maybe the person is large boned. My oldest daughter's face is larger than the norm and her head was larger at birth, but she is NT. With her bone structure she would look silly and out of proportion with a head the same shape as mine.
