I voted 5-15, as it doesn't take much to make me laugh usually. It largely depends on the number of silly videos and images that circulate at work or on Facebook that day:

I laugh most satisfyingly when I make others laugh. It is addictive...I love to see smiling faces and hearing full belly laughs. For me, it is not the quantity but the quantity of quality laughs. I love sharing humor.

That must be arachnae - trapdooricus cattus?

Obviously the cat is not clawing you, so it must just be padding your hand at high speed?

Quite a lot, but they are the incredulous, semi-sarcastic laughs that say "HAHA I can't BELIEVE how much today has sucked."

I think I laugh far less often than most 'normal' people. I laughed once today, for example.

Aw man...

Your posts usually make me laugh! Especially the one about pubes.

l laugh more often -- I voted 15-30. I should have voted 30-50 now that I think about it. I laugh at stupid things and often at crude humor. Sometimes, I laugh really hard at something everyone does not think is fumy and I have to force myself to stop laughing with great difficulty.

I believe autism affects my number because I often repeat jokes in my head throughout the day and laugh by myself, much to the chagrin of the people staring at me.

Sir Laughalot here. I'm always laughing, except when something really bad has happened to me, and that's not very often.

If you were to see my workplace, you'd realise that it's a case of "if you don't laugh, you'll cry." Scarcely does a week go by without some part of the building causing trouble - water leaks, strange draughts, wayward fire alarms and evacuations, electrical power outages, etc. etc. Then there's the insane bureaucracy that's getting more restirctive and centralised every day, and the silly management-speak emails telling us we can't fart any more, and the uptight people.

I also have a disturbing habit of laughing out loud in appreciation of what somebody has said, e.g. if it ties in with what I've always suspected but haven't yet voiced, or if it contains evidence of the selfish nature of politicians, business people or the public in general. I think it's just the joy of realising that somebody else has seen the same kind of crap that I've seen, and of realising that the speaker is helping me to unmask some of the hypocrisy that so often passes off for decency in this dishonest world of ours.

I once heard that laughing isn't all about finding things funny. To some extent it's also a way of releasing tension. I'm sure it does that for me.

Thanks! Warm and fuzzies (as auntblabby calls them) always welcome. But you shouldn't encourage me, I was in the process of dumping my inner wise guy.

Well that made me smile but not laugh.

Why is the morning funnier to you than other times?

30-50 times.

I'm constantly in a jolly/funny mood and crack jokes all the time. I'm only serious when I'm working and in discussions.

i laugh a lot. unless i'm in a real sour mood. too much variation to estimate how many times. but i seek out things i find funny and "replay" them in my head all the time.

i laugh aloud at work or otherwise public when i haven't spoken to people in hours, and i worry they will think i'm crazy. i sometimes can't stop laughing and start crying from laughing so hard and worry people will think i'm crazy. i sometimes laugh at things that amuse me for really strange reasons but probably aren't actually funny and i worry people will think i'm crazy.

when i'm not laughing though, i'm quite serious. it's all or nothing.

I'm just generally happier in the morning, I have things ahead of me that I need to do before forcing myself to sleep.

I'm also a bit more delirious.
