Languages. Because unless you're a special kind of savant, they're a lot of work, and especially the procedural knowledge that needs to be acquired to actually use them at natural speed.
I yet need to pick up Inuktitut, Quechua, Icelandic and Cantonese. :P

When I was young I liked military airplanes and models. I never learned too much about them but I thought they were kind of cool. Then when I was older I decided that I would study aeronautical engineering but I set my goals too high and didn´t pass the adimission exam (which was too difficult). If I just did the other exam for a different university which was easier I could have passed.

Languages. If I feel like it I can learn one to fluency in about a month. It's sort of like a party trick for a party of one... :*(

I'd have to say special make-up effects. The hardest part was not the mold making or the sculpting of prosthetics application but getting people to let me do life casts of their faces so I could make a plaster cast to sculpt the prosthetic make-up to them. I used surgical glue to stick the foam latex prosthetics to their faces. 8)

Playing piano. Seeing how I don't own or have access to one, I indulge myself by thinking about it.

Drumming is a challenging interest, because the guys that I jam with, on Friday afternoons, throw a whole bunch of different songs at me, and each song has its own beat. It's quite fun. :)

I was once obsessed with learning how to drum as well. I learned many rhythms quite quickly, I still know how to play them but I don't on a drum kit as I don't have access to one anymore.
