Do you resist change but need variety?

I feel this way. For a while, I fell into the habit of, on specific days of the week, with the same person, trying, in no particular order, basically all the restaurants in town for lunch.

Change is okay, if it happens long after the time I'm really ready for it, is completely under control and is reversible. Also, I'm really scared of forgetting what it was like and getting used to what it is like, so a record of it is nice.

i like some change (or variety) as long as it's not imposed by someone else.
