What Is An Aspie Fight Like?

Or this is Aspie vs. NT?

Physically - I don't recall really getting into much physical fights. The most common physical "fight" was a typical football tackling drill or something, so not really a qualified "fight". I can recall a few times getting in a few light fights, but they didn't really go anywhere. Nor do I remember how they even ended.

Verbally - I can't think of what to say in social situations as fast as NT's can, not even putting the faulty eye contact into play. I've ended up losing so many of these that eventually I just gave up. Unless it's something I've planned out multiple times, I don't really risk it.

I've gone through phases. All in all, I haven't really been motivated to fight. At least lately, (maybe it's the depression) fighting's the last thing I'd want to do. These days I'm more like a hippie, I guess. Peace to everyone, and all that cheesy stuff. Having been on the football team for five years, I don't doubt I could possibly win a fight. But I really... just don't care.

I assumed it was Aspie vs. Aspie...

It's like a 'wisdom' debate with no audience. Add a few moments where someone studders or goes mind blank, and you can note it in the message board or verbal combat section.

I have an Aspie friend like that. I try to be patient and calm with him though. Every thing he says seems intense, like he's straining to say it and over thinking it.



Now thats the kind of aspie i can't stand. the "think they know it all". As oppsed to the "really does know it all" aspie who we should all learn from.

This forum. I have seen lot of drama here lately. That's an aspie fight. Even check out the PPR board.

Most of the Aspies that I know, when in a disagreement, engage in avoidance much rather than agression.

This is true for the couple of situations where I have had disagreements with friends who have Aspergers. In both cases, the avoidance went along for a long time.

I don't like fighting as a rule, or any sort of confrontation. To be honest, I rarely go beyond the stage of using 'your mum' jokes, and even then it's usually light hearted.

I'd say, as a general rule, an aspie fight is very autistic.
