At the newspaper staff meeting last week, I raved for a few minutes over a new program I found for softening the harsh contrast in digital photos, and which allowed me to dial up enhancements in any or all RGB colors. Fortunately, my editor shared this interest. But I don't think the two women present shared the love.

I get excited by things others may consider small yes.

My sisters know I love badges for example so this year for my birthday they bought a t-shirt I wear very seldomly and a couple of badges from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I told them I loved both of their presents but lets face it I have only worn the shirt a couple of times and I have worn the badges 3-5 times a week.

little things can make my day :)

- like getting a letter in the mail
- or opening the freezer and finding tasty frozen treats
- or getting a call from my GF
- or getting a new book from Barnes & Noble
- or like that time i was at the coffee-stand the cute barista gave me a free coffee
- or running into someone i know while i'm out and about
- or finding a quarter on the ground
- or finishing writing a good poem
- etc.
