Jip, I know what you mean. :D I am addictated to coffee and I love brie, camembert etc. The coffee is a sure make you feel better, lift you up but it actually makes my problems worse! It makes me aggressive, very fidgety and inattentive and it lowers my tolerance to noise and confusion leading to overload. In the long run I cope much better when I avoid stimulants and other aggressors.

I get depressed by, well; the "consequences", I guess, of Asperger's. And that just leaves me extremely frustrated at the situation in general.. not making it any better what-so-ever.

I tend to get depressed, although I now know better how to handle my depression.

I get frustrated which leads to depressed situations for me. Due to my inablilty to sociallly function and anxieties. I get frustrated which can lead to a depressed state. Luckily I can eventually cope out of it, but sooner or later another episode takes place. Problem is if it isn't dealt with, then the frustrations become bigger as I get older and then the depression can really hit hard. So I feel it is best to have issues dealt with as soon as possible.

I have dysthymia and Asperger's (both undiagnosed), and it seems obvious to me that they both impact each other. Does anyone here actually have two mental disorders, yet believe they exist and function completely independent of one another? I think I wouldn't believe someone who said "yes," though I'd like to hear them speak their piece anyway.

I have depression & have had for over 8 years. There are many contributing factors;
childbirth/miscarriage/NLD & Aspergers/PCOS & oh yeah, quite a rubbish childhood.
Not self-pitying, just being real - something aspies are good at. Also, my child has had NLD/Asperger/schl refusal issues (still ongoing) which are hard to deal with. I cope because I have taken anti-deps for 8 years. Tried to come off them, but just relapse after month or two. When medicated, generally happy & can cope with life (as long as given my space to recharge & pursue interests etc.
