I don't mind Christmas.

I don't have to shop or cook for anyone, so I can kick back and enjoy the season.

I think some people go out of their way to hate Christmas. I'm an atheist, and I deal with it better than most God-mongers.

Generally no.

I don't have the kind of relationships that normal people have to celebrate and I get extremely turned off by the crass commercialism of the holiday.

I do enjoy what I can with family and what friends I have, but that's about it.

I can relate. It seems I don't enjoy Christmas as much as when I was younger. I still like Christmas, and I always look forward to it, but I never really do much during the holiday season other than visit family and things like that. On the bright side, I still get presents from "Santa Claus."

I find that I really enjoy the beginning of Fall, around October time, when everybody is preparing for Halloween. Something about the last three months of the year, what with Hlalloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, makes me really excited.

That because, when you're a kid, you get great loot at Christmas. 8)

Not anymore, though.

I hate Christmas. Or any kind of celebration that requires an empty ritual and mindless conforming. I find myself performing these meaningless things along with everyone else - I don't want to, but I know it will stick out like dogs' balls if I don't.
I don't understand why it's celebrated, as the extent of cultural appropriation throughout hundreds of years makes it a midhmash of cultures, times, religions and politics. What irritates me more about it is the roots of the tradition go ignored by 99% of people - they're just content to shop, eat turkey, exchange presents and not think too deeply about it at all.

To be honest Christmas is my Favorite time of year. I love the gift, the Christmas spirit and the movies. Granted im 18 and I liked it better when santa was still real  but I still enjoy it. My only complaint is stores from Thanksgiving on are miserable to be in. I hate being in crowded stores and typically x-mas shoppers are disrespectful and rude. I always get my xmas shopping done around Halloween lol.

I also love the snow.

I just don't do Christmas. My family had to accept it many years ago.

However when I was seen as BPD, I went to a PD group and we were supposed to learn to be normal and when you are normal you celebrate Christmas no matter what so I had to and had to deal with their decorations and cook and eat Christmas food. I can't say it made me more normal.
