As of now, I have two tattoos - one on my left forearm and one on my right forearm. The on on my left is a tattoo of Jack Skellington and the one on my right is a tattoo of a raven.

When my got my tattoos done, I did find it to be quite painful at times, and other times I hardly felt anything at all. I think that's because I'm so scrawny. Anyway, I got those tattoos because I have a fascination with dark symbolism. I thought a tattoo of Jack Skellington would be badass, and I liked how ravens represented obscurity (plus, I really liked the poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe).

The end process of having my new tattoo is totally worth it, and I might consider getting more in the future.

I have 8 tattoos, and 4 of them have been reworked---so I have been under the needle many times. I have found the sensation of getting tattooed to be very relaxing, almost to the point of going to sleep. Althought it is painful at times, the type of pain it is to me is almost soothing. I know that sounds weird, but I am just being honest. I have heard that this could be an autistic thing about perceiving pain differently in us. Interesting is that certain things NTs find soothing, I find uncomfortable. Now, although I am saying that tattoos are soothing to me doesn't necessarily mean other autistics would find them soothing. We all perceive things in our own ways. Good luck.
